Purley and Woodcote Ward Panel are looking for new members to join the panel. 

The Ward Panel meets every 3 months and convey community concerns, ensure accountability, and set priorities with the local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

Each SNT has its own safer neighbourhood ward panel, made up of residents, Local Authority representatives, community volunteers and local businesses.

The SNT Ward panel meets once every 3 months to discuss local concerns and provides direction to the team in resolving community issues. Panel members are also involved in deciding what type of action should be taken and contributing to the problem-solving approach.

This meeting is run by the Panel chair, who will delegate the minute taking and then distribute these to those who are in attendance. Each meeting includes a rundown of local crime statistics, information on recent incidents and news on what the team has been involved in during the period.

As a member of a Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, you can help to alert your neighbours about emergencies and incidents, along with taking an active role in handing out advice about promoting safety.

It will give you an opportunity to meet other like-minded residents with which you can share information with. This is however not an opportunity to report crime or seek an update on a crime that has been reported by you.
