Fill in this council survey to protect Purley and Woodcote’s green spaces

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Your action is urgently required to protect Purley and Woodcote’s green spaces from development.

You may be aware that Croydon Council have started a partial review of the Croydon Local Plan.  A review of Croydon’s Green Spaces is a major part of this work.

The Council want to collect information on the usage and frequency of usage of Green Spaces, with the intention that the most supported Green Spaces will be given additional protection against development. They are seeking this information from group’s, like the PWRA and other Residents Associations, and also directly from individuals such as yourselves.

Given the amount of development we are currently experiencing in our area, it is vital that we support the Green Spaces within it. The Green Spaces in our area that we must protect are:

  • Rotary Field Recreation Ground
  • Foxley Wood
  • Higher Drive Recreation Ground
  • Woodford Village Green
  • Promenade de Verdun

To receive input from individuals, the Council have created an online survey. This can be accessed from the link below and we strongly encourage you to take part to protect our Green Spaces. By all means also encourage your friends and neighbours who may not currently be members of the PWRA to do so as well. The closing date for submission is 22nd July.
