Tired of litter in Purley and Kenley? Here’s a solution!

Report rubbish and litter with LoveCleanStreets

Are you fed up with blocked gullies, litter, or even fly tipping in your area, and are frustrated in trying to get Croydon Council to deal with it?

If so then www.lovecleanstreets.com  could be your answer. This is a website specifically designed for you to raise such issues, route them to the correct council department, and then give you the ability to track the issue raised through to its resolution. You can access the website through the link above and the ‘How it works’ section of the site explains the process in clear detail.

Members of the PWRA Committee have found this a very useful tool to get quick resolution of issues and want to ensure there is membership awareness so you, and through you the wider local community, can also benefit.

Even better news is that the app lovecleanstreets is also available for all Android & Iphones , and it’s even easier to use. You can take a picture of the problem while you’re out on the streets, the phone knows roughly where you are so you don’t have to worry about determining the exact address and postcode, and then submit the report immediately. You will also receive an email to confirm that the issue has been reported.

  1. This is a step in the right direction but the problem is the low priority and casual attitude that Croydon Council has towards filthy streets. I could be taking snaps of litter all day. The answer is to clean Purley’s streets REGULARLY (every day would be good) to clear away the refuse dumped from parked cars, commuters that dump their fast food packaging and bottles on the streets and in gardens and schoolkids that leave bottles and sweet wrappers blowing down the streets, amongst others. If CC took a more proactive and yes, RESPONSIBLE, attitude to street cleaning it would be completely unneccesary to have these reporting facilities.
