25th Purley Scout Group – THE Jumble Sale
Members of the 25th Purley (St. Mark’s) Scout Group and their families, friends and supporters are preparing for THE local event of the year – their annual Jumble Sale.
It takes place on Saturday 3rd February at St. Mark’s Church Hall, Church Road, Purley CR8 3QQ from 1 pm to 3pm. Entrance 50p.
It is the one and only fundraising event of the year for the 25th Purley Scout Group. They rely on the income to support an exciting programme of weekly meetings, adventurous activities and camps for their Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop.
This year is extra special as they prepare for a camp of a lifetime in August to Kandersteg, Switzerland for 10 days. Alex Beal, Chair of the Scout Group said, “Our annual Jumble Sale is an amazing event with several hundred people coming through the doors during the afternoon.
A number of our customers return year after year and word has spread about the quality of our jumble and people come from far and wide.
We’d like to thank our local community for their generosity over the years in supporting our annual Jumble Sale and to encourage everyone to support their local Scout Group with donations of clothing, shoes, textiles, bric a brac, toys, games, books, dvds and unwanted gifts. It’s its saleable we’ll sell it!
We always look forward to seeing former members, families, friends and supporters as they drop off donations and greatly value every offer of help and support.”
Donations can be dropped off at St. Mark’s Church Hall on Friday 2nd February from 6pm to 9pm or Saturday 3rd February from 8am to 10am using the 25th Purley’s very popular drive through service – they are very happy to unload for you too!
